Below please find details on our two commercially available applications.

ScriptRunner™ is a stand-alone binary application that subscribes to changes in the metadata structure of the Vidispine Media Backbone, which then allows purpose-specific execution of external programs.

It does so by “listening” to Vidispine, through its notifications protocol, to assess whether a particular Vidispine item meets a specific set of metadata conditions, and whether one or more of those conditions has just changed. You can even trigger off the creation of a Vidispine item, so that executables can fire each and every time a particular kind of item is made.

It then runs any number of executables in any order, and can hand over any metadata or static data to those executables. Multiple executables can be defined and associated to a metadata condition.

You can order (and reorder) the executables. The next script will only fire if the previous one returned successfully.

There is a built-in log that shows when each executable started and finished, and what status was returned.

ScriptRunner™ 2.2 is now a standalone binary agent. It can be installed in several configurations, with any size deployment:

It also has its own command-line and REST API, including a web UI, allowing you to configure and administrate it from literally anywhere.

You can also create Manual triggers, which show up in Cantemo Portal's contextual menus. This allows Portal's end users to trigger backend automations as they need them, via a selection of items!

Convenient GUI Plugins for automation configuration and administration are included for 1303 Systems Crucible and Cantemo Portal. Support for Vidispine VidiXplore coming soon!

And of course, a migration utility is provided to seamlessly transition your ScriptRunner 1 automations over to ScriptRunner 2!

CP Archive App, originally developed by our friends at moosystems, adds a rich set of archiving features to any product featuring the Vidispine Media Backbone, including Cantemo Portal.

Leveraging the simplicity and power of Archiware’s P5 Archive, it provides age-based automated archive, and on-demand, user-based archive and restore of both items and collections of items.

Convenient GUI Plugin for configuration and administration is included for Cantemo Portal. Support for 1303 Systems Crucible and Vidispine VidiXplore coming soon!
